A bit about me

Hi, I'm Krishnaa.

Krishnaa Sudhir

I'm a mechanical engineer by training and a designer at heart. I grew up in Chennai and Dubai, made my way to Berkeley for my MEng, and along the way I've built everything from AI-driven assistive wearables to pneumatic baby blankets. The thread through all of it: I believe good design is functional, sustainable, and inclusive, made for everyone, not just the assumed default user.

I thrive in the scrappiness of early-stage prototyping. I've welded metal, written Python games, run FEA simulations, and spent time in factories watching how things actually get made. I love talking to every stakeholder in a product's life, not just the end customer, but clinicians, manufacturers, and the people building alongside me. Outside of engineering, I'm usually cooking something new, crafting, or travelling, with a good cup of tea in hand.

I'm currently looking for full-time product design engineering roles in medical devices, assistive technology, or consumer hardware. If that sounds like you, I'd love to connect.

How I work

Design Principles.

People First
Good design starts with a conversation. I talk to every stakeholder in a product's life: customers, clinicians, manufacturers, before I draw a single line.
Hands-on by Default
I learn the most from prototypes that don't work. Getting something physical in your hands early changes every assumption you made at the whiteboard.
Inclusive by Design
Accessibility isn't a feature; it's a foundation. I'm passionate about designing products that work for everyone, not just the assumed default user.
